A Royal Copenhagen bowl, same coupe shape as the Bindweed bowl, but left plain — just the graduated blue-to-white ground, no painted flower. The base is marked 2559, which is normally the pattern number used for Royal Copenhagen's painted Bindweed bowl.
Royal Copenhagen has marked every piece by hand since 1775 — the three waves for Denmark's straits, the crown for the royal patronage. Based on the backstamp style, this one dates from roughly the 1960s–70s. A calm, minimal piece that works well mixed in with painted pieces or on its own. Good vintage condition.
