The interior features a deep concentric spiral in dark brown and blue-grey glaze, while the exterior is unglazed chamotte clay with characteristic dark brown banding — a hallmark of Tue Poulsen's tactile, earthy aesthetic.
Tue Poulsen (1920–2003) was one of Denmark's leading studio ceramists, known for his robust chamotte stoneware with rich, layered glazes. His work is collected internationally and held in museum collections.
Signed "Tue" on the base.
